Systems built to last — architecture, interfaces, and the infrastructure underneath. Work that resists entropy.
A locale-aware typography engine that sits above the browser's text shaping and makes the decisions it can't: font stack per script, script-dependent leading, RTL, line-break mode, and — the useful part — forecasting which translations overflow a component before anyone opens the app in that language. Deterministic core, live demo.
Publishing infrastructure that treats a manuscript as structured source, not a Word file. One canonical semantic source compiles to print (LuaLaTeX), EPUB, and web — a correction made once reaches every edition, and a new trim size is config, not a rebuild. Live demo of the model + build validator.
An architecture that treats locale as product behavior, not translated copy. One resolved locale context drives direction, typography, forms, formatting, and layout — so a component adapts across languages, scripts, and markets instead of forking per locale. Live demo: context, adaptive forms, a locale matrix, and RTL mirroring.
Two publishing brands needed distinct visual identities without two codebases to maintain. One Next.js repository now serves both — domain detected at the edge, CSS tokens inverted per domain, zero shared components duplicated.
Navigation as a spatial object rather than a list. A WebGL organic blob deforms in real time under cursor pressure, with region-mapped navigation nodes and domain-differentiated lighting — making the interface itself feel like it belongs to the brand.
Nine books needed discoverable, accurate pages without per-title manual SEO work. The book data model is the SEO model — one typed interface generates static pages, Open Graph tags, Twitter Cards, and JSON-LD Book schemas automatically.
A publishing platform needs typographic precision across contexts a general-purpose UI framework won't provide. Custom CSS token system with vertical rhythm, semantic color roles, and responsive type scales — built specifically for long-form literary content.
Content that lives in component files doesn't scale and can't be queried. Typed TypeScript schemas for books, projects, and field notes feed static generation, SEO pipelines, and UI simultaneously — one source of truth, zero duplication.
Novelists working with AI have no tool for tracking what the model knows versus what the author knows. Continuity Atlas separates those layers — characters as evolving states, voice as behavioral metrics, narrative secrets hidden from generation.
Color theory tools that live in 2D can't show how colors relate in perceptual space. An interactive 3D color explorer with harmony modes, mood-based generation, film and brand palettes, and export to CSS, Tailwind, SCSS, or JSON.
Large international datasets are structurally comparable but rarely presented that way. An interactive dashboard for exploring and contrasting global statistics — responsive charts designed for navigation, not just display.
First-hand technical writing from shipped work. One diagram, one real code sample, one honest failure per piece.
Why embeddings and character biographies cannot preserve a novel’s internal history — and what a structured, time-aware memory model looks like instead.
A pen name, a studio, and a personal archive are not a branding problem — they are an entity-graph problem. Here is how I keep search engines from turning three identities into one muddy blur.
This is the kind of system I build for clients.
